Jason was born in Tulsa and raised in Broken Arrow. He comes from a family of six kids. As you can imagine with six kids in tow, his mother often encouraged Jason and his brothers to play outside on nice days. This resulted in Jason becoming very competitive in sports and any other challenges that he encountered. Although Jason never played sports for the Broken Arrow Public Schools, he and his friends played pickup games nearly every day after school.
In June of 2008, Jason and his wife were tired of the same old gym routine, and they had heard about CrossFit from Jason’s brother and brother-in-law. After completing his first CrossFit workout at a local affiliate Jason was hooked. He found that CrossFit fueled his competitive fire, which had dwindled since graduation. In a short amount of time Jason began to see drastic changes in his fitness levels. After seeing such improvements Jason wasted no time sharing his new found passion. In October of 2008, Jason got his Level 1 Certification and has been teaching CrossFit and its methods ever since. He found his passion in training others and helping them to reach their goals and achieve what they once thought was impossible. Jason has competed in the 2009 CrossFit Games South Central Sectional, 2010 CrossFit Games South Central Sectional, and the 2011 CrossFit Games Open Competition with respectful finishes in each of them. Jason currently holds a CrossFit Level 1 Certification and Mobility Certification.
